These reusable cloth bowl covers are sewn in elastic to help secure the cloth covers firmly around the bowl. They are hand made in Canada, using beautiful 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, and printed with natural dyes. Made using natural material, these are 100% biodegradable and backyard compostable.
Our fabric bowls have some stretch, a medium sized bowl cover will fit bowls between 8" and 9" diameter. In order to get an accurate measure, please measure across the widest part of the bowl (diameter).

Yes, fabric bowl covers can keep food fresh. There are two types of bowl covers: waxed and non waxed bowl covers, when used appropriately, they are great addition to your kitchen.
A waxed bowl cover is layered with pure beeswax, which makes it function very similarly to a beeswax wrap. These reusable bowl covers come with sewn in elastic so that it is easy to secure your bowl covers firmly around the bowls. The beeswax helps to make the bowl cover airtight, locks in the moisture and keeps food fresh in the fridge for longer. Typically the leftovers covered in waxed bowl cover will keep for a few days in the refrigerator.
The unwaxed bowl cover is best suited for food you want to cover for a couple of hours. It is great for keeping the fruit flies away, covering rising dough or snacks.
What is the difference between Waxed and Unwaxed bowl covers?
A waxed bowl cover is made using fabric and wax. Our reusable waxed fabric bowl covers are hand made in Canada, using 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, locally sourced Canadian organic beeswax. The beeswax layer helps to make the bowl cover airtight, locks in the moisture and keeps food fresh in the fridge for longer.
The unwaxed bowl cover is made with 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. They are ready handy for covering food for short periods of time. It is great for keeping the fruit flies away, covering rising dough or snacks.
How to clean fabric bowl covers?
The unwaxed fabric bowl covers are machine washable. To prolong it’s life, its best to wash on a cool and gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Air dry or tumble dry low. Do not iron or microwave.
A waxed fabric bowl cover can be washed with a mild dish detergent and some cool water. Air dry on your dish rack and reuse.
How to dispose fabric bowl covers when they reach their end of life?
Both waxed and unwaxed fabric bowl covers are 100% backyard compostable. Simply cut up into small pieces for better breakdown.
